Two men and a woman were arrested during a stop-and-search and follow-up raid in west Dublin.

Officers from the Garda Drugs and Organised Crime Unit stopped two cars in the Blanchardstown area at around 9.30am on Saturday.

Cash totalling €160,000 was recovered at the scene.

Two men, one aged in his 20s and the other in his 40s, were arrested and detained under section two of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.

They remain in custody and are being questioned at Blanchardstown Garda Station.

In a follow-up operation, houses in Clonsilla and Neilstown were raided and another €100,000 in cash was seized.

A woman aged in her 30s was arrested but she has since been released while a file is sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
