Chris Wall has ruled Paradise Isle out of the Wokingham Stakes at Royal Ascot after her victory at Haydock on Saturday.
The Newmarket trainer is now eyeing the Darley July Cup at Newmarket on July 14 or the Group Three Cuisine de France Summer Stakes at York the same day for the five-year-old mare.
“She’s a bit tired. She had a long day yesterday, but otherwise she’s fine,” said Wall.
“She’s got two options as she won’t go to Royal Ascot for the Wokingham. She got a 5lb penalty for winning on Saturday and it wouldn’t be fair to run her under a big weight (9st 8lb) in that race.
“She will now run on July 14 either in the July Cup or at York. It may be flying a bit high in the July Cup but there aren’t too many options for her and the sprinting division looks pretty ordinary unless something comes out of the woodwork at Royal Ascot.”
