Peter Power was elected in Limerick East for Fianna Fail - with the help of transfers from Willie O'Dea and the surplus of Eddie Wade, who was eliminated.

In Galway West, Padraig McCormack has been elected for Fine Gael - taking their tally to 31 seats.

Meanwhile, Sinn Fein has conceded the disputed seat in Dublin Central as Fianna Fail's Dermot Fitzpatrick defeated SF's Nicky Kehoe by 74 votes.
