Ahern and Cowen pay tribute to Anna Lindh

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, and Foreign Affairs Minister Brian Cowen have both paid tribute to Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh, who died in hospital this morning after being stabbed in Stockholm yesterday.

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, and Foreign Affairs Minister Brian Cowen have both paid tribute to Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh, who died in hospital this morning after being stabbed in Stockholm yesterday.

Ms Lindh suffered injuries to her stomach, chest and arm when she was attacked in an exclusive department store.

Mr Cowen said the Swedish Foreign Minister was a dedicated politician, while Mr Ahern said her death was a "profound loss".
