With less than two weeks left before a national referendum, Sweden is still leaning toward rejecting the euro, but the lead for opponents to the common currency is slipping.
A poll out today showed euro opponents ahead 44% to 36%, with 20% undecided.
In a similar poll a week ago, 49% said they preferred to keep the Swedish kronor, while 34% said they would vote to adopt the euro in the referendum on September 14.
Sweden, Britain and Denmark continued using their national currencies after the 12 other members of the European Union switched to the euro on January 1 2002.
