Marilyn Manson can proceed with a breach-of-contract lawsuit against an ex-bandmate, it was ruled today.
A judge in Los Angeles threw out one claim but ruled that most of the case can move forward to trial.
Manson was not in court for the ruling.
Former keyboardist Stephen Bier sued the shock rocker last year, claiming Manson owes him more than $20m in shared profits.
Manson countersued, claiming Bier breached obligations involving band recordings, concerts and promotions.
Bier’s lawyers unsuccessfully sought to have the countersuit dismissed on grounds that it was too vague.
