The search has resumed this morning for a crewman who is believed to have

fallen overboard from a tanker off the south west coast.

The Irish coastguard, as well as lifeboats from Castletownbere and Valentia will scour the water between Dursey Island and Skelling Rocks.

They failed to find any trace of the man last night.

The 44-year-old from the Cape Verde Islands was reported missing from the British-registered "Forth Fisher" around teatime yesterday.
