Moravcik backs Bhoys to record famous win

Celtic legend Lubomir Moravcik is backing his former team-mates to pull off a famous victory over Bayern Munich at Parkhead.

Martin O’Neill’s men are unbeaten at home in an incredible 63 matches after losing to Ajax in August 2001.

Defeat for Bayern Munich could see them fail to go past the first group phase for the second-successive season after losing at home to Lyon in their last outing and Moravcik predicts even more misery to come.

“Unfortunately I don’t get British TV where I am at the moment – only the games the French TV want to show,” he said.

“But I watched the Lyon game, which was amazing, and I saw three very nice goals against Anderlecht too.

“From everything I have seen and heard, Celtic have been incredible at home.

“Their victories at Celtic Park have been 100% deserved, and I think they can get another great result here against Bayern Munich.

“It will be tough, but I know what these players can do and also how special this stadium is on Champions League nights.

“I don’t think I have ever seen or heard anything as amazing in football, and I am happy I had a chance to play here in big matches like Juventus before my career was over.”
