Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is almost certain to change his side for the visit of Reading to Anfield after finally fielding an unchanged line-up in midweek for the first time in 100 games.

But injuries to Luis Garcia (hamstring) and Xabi Alonso (knee and ankle) during the Champions League victory over Bordeaux mean changes are likely once more. Liverpool also have a doubt over Craig Bellamy (ankle), who missed the win over the French side.

Defender Daniel Agger and winger Jermaine Pennant could also get a run-out as Liverpool bid for their fourth successive home victory in 11 days. Jerzy Dudek serves the third match of his suspension, so David Martin will be on the bench.

Provisional squad: Reina, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Agger, Riise, Aurelio, Pennant, Sissoko, Gerrard, Fowler, Crouch, Kuyt, Martin, Bellamy, Garcia, Alonso, Zenden, Warnock, Paletta.
