Welsh rugby is on the verge of crisis this morning after test players voted to strike over the manner in which the Welsh Rugby Union is treating their clubs.

The players, who voted to strike following a breakdown in negotiations yesterday, are demanding more control and increased funding for clubs.

They want the WRU to increase its annual pay-out to clubs from £500,000 (€805,000) to almost double that figure.

Further talks on the issue are expected later today.
