Cork will line out with two championship debutants in their attack when they take on Tipperary in Sunday's Munster SHC semi-final (Pairc Ui Chaoimh, throw-in 2.15pm).

Kevin Canty will lead the Rebels attack having impressed manager Gerald McCarthy in a recent challenge match against Waterford.

The second debutant is right corner-forward Paudie O'Sullivan, who is the 20-year-old brother of Cork's long-time full-back Diarmuid O'Sullivan.

With settled combinations across the Cork defence and midfield - Ronan Curran has recovered from a groin problem - much of the focus this weekend will be on how McCarthy's selected forward unit goes.

He has surprisingly left Joe Deane, the two-time All Star, on the bench. Newtownshandrum clubman Cathal Naughton comes in for his first Munster championship start.

Patrick Cronin has gotten the nod at full-forward, while Timmy McCarthy is fit enough to take his place at left half-forward.

Cork have won 36 of their 76 championship meetings with Tipperary. The Premier county have claimed 33 wins while there have been seven draws between the counties.

Away to Cork, Tipp have not won on Leeside since 1922 when they won a semi-final clash by 6-02 to 3-02.

Cork are bidding to win their fifth Munster title of the decade - they were winners in 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2006.

The sides met in an All-Ireland qualifier last summer, with Tipp grabbing a 2-16 to 1-18 victory.
