Property owners who have not paid their household charge are being advised that the interest and penalties due will rise by €11 on October 1.

LGMA warns of additional household charge fine on October 1

Property owners who have not paid their household charge are being advised that the interest and penalties due will rise by €11 on October 1.

This means the total amount due in October will be €127. Anyone who pays by the end of this month will be charged €116.

The Local Government Management Agency (LGMA) says so far, more than €104m has been raised from one million households that have paid the charge.
