Assault victim dies from injuries

A 14-year-old boy has died at Cork University hospital from injuries he sustained in an attack in Co Tipperary on Sunday night.

A 14-year-old boy has died at Cork University hospital from injuries he sustained in an attack in Co Tipperary on Sunday night.

The teenager had been in a coma since Wednesday.

Gardai are continuing their Inquiry into the assault and say they will review the status of the investigation once a post mortem is carried out.
