Suspected left-wing rebels have kidnapped the wife of Colombia’s attorney general.

Suspected left-wing rebels have kidnapped the wife of Colombia’s attorney general.

Consuelo Araujo, 62, a former culture minister, is missing along with 10 others travelling with her, including two bodyguards, police say.

The kidnappers grabbed the group at a roadblock near the provincial capital of Valledupar, Araujo’s home town, about 420 miles north of Bogota.
