Osbourne reported for assault by 'X Factor' hopeful

Sharon Osbourne was reported for assault by an 'X Factor' OAP hopeful.

The star - who recently returned to the TV talent show - blasted Jonnie Rocco, 73, and threw a pen at him after he insulted her husband Ozzy Osbourne after the judges were left unimpressed by his audition.

The wannabe was rejected after a performance of Elvis Presley's 'An American Trilogy' and - after Sharon gave her feedback - he impersonated the Black Sabbath rocker's voice and said: "You think Ozzy can sing?"

This provoked an angry tirade as he was blasted by the foul-mouthed judge, who launched a pen at Jonnie's shoulder.

She said: "Don't you talk about my f***ing husband. Get him out of my f***ing room."

The singer - whose real name is John Johnson - claimed the pen "could have knocked my eye out" and reported the incident.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed they would be writing to 'X Factor' bosses to "remind them of the need to conduct themselves in a professional manner", but no further action would be taken.

Jonnie made another controversial appearance on the show in 2007 after he threatened Louis Walsh after he failed to make it through his audition six years ago.
