Rocker Ozzy Osbourne is astounded his wife Sharon is still with him, because he spent so many years as a "screwball drunk".

The Black Sabbath star, 58, admits he is shocked his wife stood by him while he was drinking heavily and taking drugs earlier on in his career.

He says: "I was drunk every day, out of my mind on something and alcohol every day of my life.

"My therapist said to me: 'Imagine you are the sober person and wife is the screwball drunk and lying on the floor and covered in puke or whatever. How long do you think you'd last? Twenty

years?' I (thought): 'Oh wow, I wouldn't have lasted 20 minutes.

I would have been gone.'"
