Don’t Look Now a spiral into madness

Nic Roeg’s Don’t Look Now: Special Edition (Optimum, €24.99) is not an easy film to watch, but then horror films never are.

Nic Roeg’s Don’t Look Now: Special Edition (Optimum, €24.99) is not an easy film to watch, but then horror films never are.

Adapted from Daphne Du Maurier’s novel, Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie play a couple who, following their daughter’s death, arrive in Venice and meet two sisters. One of the sisters says she has been in touch with the girl. What happens next is a spiral into madness.

Remarkable stuff. Among the extras are a good audio commentary from Roeg, plus a decent making of documentary.
