ESB demand hits all time high

The nation's demand for electricity reached an all time high a 5.35pm yesterday.

The National Grid was pumping out some 3,925 mega-watts to cope with demand.

The ESB also confirmed that demand for electricity jumped by 6.8% in the past 12 months.
