The unionist members of the Belfast District Policing Partnership are planning to boycott future meetings in protest at the handling of loyalist riots in the city.

The unionist members of the Belfast District Policing Partnership are planning to boycott future meetings in protest at the handling of loyalist riots in the city.

Unionists have accused the PSNI of acting with aggression and arrogance while policing a contentious Orange Order parade last Saturday.

They have claimed this was what sparked the riots that lasted followed over the next three nights and left dozens of police officers injured.

The PSNI has rejected the accusation.
