Health officials to face questions on swine flu

Officials from the Department of Health and the HSE are set to face questions about the swine flu pandemic from TDs and Senators today.

Officials from the Department of Health and the HSE are set to face questions about the swine flu pandemic from TDs and Senators today.

The department's chief medical officer Dr Tony Holohan is due to appear before the Oireachtas Health Committee along with the HSE's director of population health, Dr Pat Doorley, and its assistant national director for health protection, Dr Kevin Kelleher.

They are expected to update the committee on the measures being taken to control the outbreak of swine flu in Ireland.
