ISEQ falls in early trading

The ISEQ index of Irish shares was valued at 2,594.29 at 11am this morning, a drop of 41.66 points.

The ISEQ index of Irish shares was valued at 2,594.29 at 11am this morning, a drop of 41.66 points.

Financial stocks continued on a downward trend, with AIB falling 13c to 1.23, Bank of Ireland 11c off at 1.24 and Irish Life & Permanent down 3c to 2.76.

Also on the fallers' board were CRH, down 33c to 16.07; Grafton Group, 21c off at 2.45; FBD Holdings, falling 18c to 6.40; Kingspan, slipping 12c to 3.88; Paddy Power, shedding 8c to 16.77, and C&C, down 6c to 2.28.
