Suicide bomber kills 10 in Afghanistan

A suicide bomber detonated himself next to Afghanistan’s interior ministry in Kabul today, killing at least 10 people and wounding 54, an official said.

A suicide bomber detonated himself next to Afghanistan’s interior ministry in Kabul today, killing at least 10 people and wounding 54, an official said.

Dr. Salam Jalali, a public health ministry official, said at least 10 people were killed and 54 injured.

He said many of the injured were in critical condition and that the death toll could rise.

The explosion occurred a little before 8am as ministry employees were reporting to work, near a narrow dirt road where employees and civilians pass through a security gate.
