Woman arrested in connection with murder released
Gardaí have released the woman arrested yesterday in connection with the murder of Co Laois man Pat Burke earlier this month.
The 55-year-old was found beaten to death at his home in Ballybrittas on August 19.
A post mortem examination revealed he died as a result of multiple blows from a hammer.
Mr Burke's wife was also found in the house with knife wounds to her arms.
Gardaí say a file on the matter is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
