Tomorrow’s meeting at the Curragh is subject to the course passing a precautionary inspection at 7.30am due to the threat of heavy showers.

The seven-race card, due to feature three Group-race contests including the Ballygallon Stud Debutante Stakes, is in some doubt as although the track is raceable at present, rain is forecast.

“The track is OK at the moment and the inspection is just precautionary at this stage,” said Irish Turf Club Press Officer Cliff Noone.

“However, we are just having wave after wave of rain at the moment and we are forecast some heavy downpours later tonight.”
