Hurling: Tipp await Kelly fitness

Tipperary's senior hurling management team have delayed selection for Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final clash with Wexford as they await a progress report on midfielder Paul Kelly.

Tipperary's senior hurling management team have delayed selection for Sunday's All-Ireland semi-final clash with Wexford as they await a progress report on midfielder Paul Kelly.

The team will be announced after training in Thurles tomorrow evening once Kelly' state of fitness has been established,

He severely damaged a hamstring in a club game some weeks ago and has been having intensive treatment ever since.

Should Kelly be ruled out, it could signal a return to the fold of former captain Connor Gleeson, who missed the Munster final against Limerick because of a broken bone on this hand.
