History making Mattock Rangers boss Brendan Reilly last night pointed to defeat in last season's county decider as the source of the Louth side's Leinster SFC motivation.

The Louth champions picked up their first ever county title last month and on Sunday take another step towards Leinster glory facing Moorefield of Kildare in the semi-final.

Reilly said: "There were jibes that we lost our bottle when we were defeated in last season's county final. After finally landing the title this year were playing on pure adrenaline at the moment.

"There's no-one ringing up complaining of injuries or making excuses to miss training. Everyone is dying to be part of what¹s going on in the club."
