Birmingham owner David Sullivan has hit out at the club’s players following their relegation from the Barclays Premiership.
The Blues’ fate was confirmed on Saturday as they could only draw with Newcastle while Portsmouth beat Wigan.
Sullivan has been angered by the attitude of a number of players and is now preparing for a clear-out over the summer, with big names such as striker Chris Sutton set to leave.
Sullivan told The Daily Star: “I won’t name names but some players haven’t done as well as I’d hoped.
“But then again footballers are quite arrogant people. Players don’t say sorry. They will blame anybody but themselves.
“We’ve been guilty of too much complacency and over-confidence and it has cost us.”
