The ISEQ index of Irish shares slipped into negative territory this morning, slipping 12.36 points to 7214.43 by 11am.
The financial enjoyed mixed fortunes. Both AIB and Anglo Irish Bank rose 7c to €18.02 and €12.29 respectively. Bank of Ireland rose 1c to €13.31. Irish Life and Permanent plummeted 23c to €16.15.
Oil stocks also had a mixed morning. Dragon Oil slipped 4c to €2.79 and Tullow jumped 15c to €3.93, almost 4%.
Elan slipped 11c to €10.76.
