Jolie considers run for political office

Angelina Jolie is interested in running for political office.

The 38-year-old actress has said her extensive humanitarian work has furthered her interest in politics, but the brunette beauty acknowledges her Hollywood career may hinder her aspirations.

The 'Maleficent' star told Vanity Fair magazine: "When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered. Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility.

"But I honestly don't know in what role I would be more useful - I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible."

Asked specifically whether she'd pursue a career in politics, the United Nations Goodwill Ambassador replied: "I am open."

Angelina - who tied the knot with Brad Pitt, 50, at their French estate on August 23, 2014 - also spoke about their marriage, admitting it "does feel different" and "it feels nice to be husband and wife".

The couple's six children - Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight and six-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - helped to write their wedding vows and the actress revealed the role she and her husband played in the wording.

She said: "They did not expect us never to fight, but they made us promise to always say, 'Sorry,' if we do. So they said, 'Do you?,' and we said, 'We do!'"
