An RUC woman who claimed she was sexually harassed by two male colleagues has been awarded £20,000 in damages, it was confirmed today.

The Industrial Tribunal in Belfast also recommended that the force review its sexual harassment policies and procedures within three months, the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland said.

The case was brought by reserve constable Mary Bradley, who claimed she was subjected to serious verbal and physical sexual harassment from the two men while stationed at Greencastle, Co Antrim.

The tribunal held that she was unlawfully discriminated against on the grounds of her sex and awarded her the money for sex discrimination and victimisation.
