Simpson cancels second show due to illness
Pop beauty Jessica Simpson was forced to cancel a second date on her American tour last night as she recovers from a kidney infection.
Simpson, 23, is under a doctor's care, says record company Columbia spokeswoman Renee Pfefer.
The singer had cancelled a Tuesday show in Providence, Rhode Island, with last night's gig having been scheduled to take place in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Her next show is scheduled in Detroit, Michigan, tomorrow.
Simpson says in a statement: "I can't wait until the doctor says it's okay for me to get back out there.
"Thanks to everyone for their get-well wishes."
Simpson plans to reschedule her missed tour dates.
