The Iseq index of shares has had a negative morning with prices down 76.52 points to 2,855.76 by 11am this morning.
The main faller has been business services group DCC, down 65c to €15.40, while food giant Kerry Group recorded a 52c decline to €15.95.
The construction sector was also generally negative with CRH standing at €16.91 after tumbling 44c while Kingspan slipped 19c to €4.68.
The financial sector followed suit, AIB leading the decline with a decrease of 24c to €1.86 and Irish Life and Permanent down 10c to €3.45. Bank of Ireland had decreased by 16c to €1.88 while insurance giant FBD Holdings fell 23c to €7.67.
