Los Angeles prosecutors have charged a man with trespassing after he was arrested at the home of actress-singer Miley Cyrus.
A city attorney’s spokesman said Jason Luis Rivera was charged with two counts of trespassing and one count of resisting arrest.
Rivera was arrested early on Saturday after police say he attempted to force his way into Cyrus’ home.
Police said at the time that Rivera was carrying a pair of scissors and claimed to be a friend of Cyrus. He repeatedly threw himself against an outside wall as if he was trying to break into Cyrus’ home, officers said.
Rivera, who pleaded not guilty to the charges, was ordered to be held on $100,000 bail (€78,200). He will return to court on September 17.
