Godolphin have supplemented Kailani at a cost of £20,000 (€25,000) for Friday’s Investec Oaks.
The filly will be bidding to emulate her mother, Kazzia, who won the Classic 10 years ago.
Kailani entered the Oaks picture after an easy victory in the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Newmarket Guineas meeting, a race Ouija Board won before she followed up at Epsom in 2004.
With the addition of Kailani, a total of 14 fillies go forward for the big race, among them Aidan O’Brien’s Maybe, who has been ante-post favourite since her run in the 1000 Guineas where she finished third behind stable companion Homecoming Queen.
She is one of six remaining possibles for O’Brien who may also run Kissed, twice a winner at Navan, Betterbetterbetter, Was, Twirl and Devotion.
The Fugue is also towards the head of the betting for John Gosden after her easy victory in the Musidora at York. She had earlier finished fourth in the Guineas.
Vow, trained by William Haggas, is aiming to become a first Classic winner for the Highclere Thoroughbred Racing syndicate while Colima, who chased her home in the Oaks Trial at Lingfield, is another possible.
Hughie Morrison has two lively chances in Shirocco Star and Goodwood winner Coquet.
Toptempo (Mark Tompkins) and Nayarra (Mick Channon) complete the field.
