Bomb kills 10 Afghan police

A roadside bomb in eastern Afghanistan has killed 10 members of the Afghan Local Police (ALP), officials said.

A roadside bomb in eastern Afghanistan has killed 10 members of the Afghan Local Police (ALP), officials said.

Two government officials said the victims died in Chak district of Wardak province while travelling in a pickup truck from a ceremony.

The ALP are a government-sponsored militia force that works alongside the Afghan army and the national police.
