Financials ensure positive start for ISEQ

Dublin's index of shares saw a 10.57 rise by 11am today to stand at 5,951.75 with financials making a sizable positive contribution.

Dublin's index of shares saw a 10.57 rise by 11am today to stand at 5,951.75 with financials making a sizable positive contribution.

Biggest riser of the morning was Anglo Irish Bank, who saw their stock go up 30c to €15.90. Irish Life and Permanent are 14c up at the moment on €13.65 and AIB are also up 4c to €14.15. Bank of Ireland remain stable at €11.00.

CRH, Jurys and Kerry Group also continued the positive trend. CRH are up 16c to €19.23, Jurys increased 15c to €10.85 and Kerry rose 10c to €18.05.

Elan spoiled the positive mood after recording a 42c fall to see their share price stand at €22.58.
