Head of Referendum Commission urges people to vote

The Chairman of the Referendum Commission, Mr Justice Kevin Feeney, is urging people to vote today on the EU Fiscal Stability Treaty.

The Chairman of the Referendum Commission, Mr Justice Kevin Feeney, is urging people to vote today on the EU Fiscal Stability Treaty.

Polling stations across the country's 43 constituencies opened at 7am this morning and will remain open until 10 pm.

More than three million people over 18 years are eligible to cast a ballot, once they are on the electoral register and carry photo identification.

Counting will begin at 9am tomorrow morning.
