Tipperary forward John O'Brien should be available for their All-Ireland SHC semi-final clash with Dublin on Sunday week.
The Toomevara captain was sent-off in the North Tipperary SHC final last weekend and faces an eight-week ban, but it is unlikely to carry over to inter-county games.
O'Brien became involved in an off-the-ball incident with Kildangan's Paraic Kelly in the lead-up to half-time, and received a straight red card.
He has been reported by referee Ger Fitzpatrick for a category 3 offence - 'striking with the head' - and the proposed suspension of eight weeks does not transfer over to inter-county level.
However, if the North Tipperary GAA Board decide that the offence merits a longer ban, it will automatically carry over to inter-county hurling and O'Brien will miss the Dublin game.
He has worn the number 14 jersey for Tipperary throughout the 2011 Championship so far, scoring 0-5 from play in the Munster wins over Cork, Clare and Waterford.
