Disney says visitor numbers were lower than normal in the days following the US terror attacks.

The company says there was a fall-off in trade at its retail outlets, theme parks and resorts.

But it says trade is now returning to normal.

Trade at most other US theme parks was unaffected by the terror attacks.

Tokyo Disneyland enjoyed a record attendance earlier this week.

Disney says a reduction in television advertising revenues is expected to harm the performance of the company's television and radio networks.

Chairman Michael Eisner says: "Disney will continue to focus on its various business initiatives for long-term growth, as well as its marketing and promotional activities."
