More acts added to the Live at the Marquee line-up

Live at the Marquee bosses are spoiling us with announcements.

Last week they revealed that The Coronas will take to the Cork stage on June 30, just days after Elton John and his live band on June 20.

Over the weekend they surprised us with two more acts.

Firstly it was confirmed that the one and only Cliff Richard will perform on June 15.

Richard will perform songs from his new album Just Fabulous Rock ‘n’ Roll, a selection of his favourite songs from the golden era of rock ‘n’ roll.

These include Cliff’s renditions of seminal tracks such as Roll Over Beethoven, Great Balls of Fire, Sweet Little Sixteen and his very own debut single, Move It. The album also features a duet with fellow idol Elvis Presley on Blue Suede Shoes.

And secondly from rock ‘n’ roll to country, it was then revealed that Nathan Carter will be playing the Cork venue on July 8.

It’s been a whirlwind few years for Nathan who has brought a whole new generation of fans of all ages to country music in Ireland.

Earlier this year Nathan released his new album ‘Stayin’ Up All Night’. The Nathan Carter Show, is currently running on Sunday nights on RTÉ One.

Tickets for Cliff Richard go on sale from all usual Ticketmaster outlets on Monday 14 November at 10am while tickets for Nathan Carter will be released Thursday 10 November at 9am.
