There is just one match scheduled for today in the All-Ireland hurling qualifying series with Limerick playing Cork at Semple Stadium in Thurles.
It guarantees to be a tight contest between the two Munster sides who both feel they have a lot to prove after being dumped out of the provincial championship.
Cork were humiliated at the hands of Waterford in the first round of the Munster Championship and are seeking to restore their battered confidence and resume their charge for another All-Ireland title.
Limerick have not had the best of seasons either as were heavily defeated by Tipperary in their Munster championship match and suffered a storm of controversy surrounding their coach before the championship even began.
They will be hoping to put their season back on the rails in Semple Stadium this afternoon where the throw in is at 6.15pm.
