A car bomb exploded in the Colombian capital Bogota today, killing at least four people, police said.

A car bomb exploded in the Colombian capital Bogota today, killing at least four people, police said.

The explosion was in a commercial area filled with electronic, clothing and liquor shops.

Two of those killed were policemen, police Sergeant Alberto Cantillo said.

It was not immediately clear who was responsible for the attack but the Colombian government is in a permanent state of war with left wing guerrillas and drugs cartels.
