It’s all – sort of – true, as those of you who have given your moggie the vapours by staring at it will testify. Cats, as well as goats, just don’t like being stared at.
The story is true in that the US military got funding for the sort of psychic programme encountered here, with a group of men using paranormal powers to battle the enemy … crazy or what?
This is a quirky, original and very funny film that sees journo McGregor losing his wife to his editor and heading off to Iraq to prove he can still hack it.
Along the way he meets Lyn Cassidy – the very funny Clooney – a former CIA man who tells him about the paranormal team, led by supper-fruitcake Bridges … this could be the story of a lifetime.
Headlines aside, it certainly makes for a wonderfully inventive and off-centre film.
