Three Irish restaurants have been commended at the annual World Luxury Restaurant Awards.
The Dublin restaurants were recognised in regional, continental and global categories, competing with some of the world's most famous eateries.
SOLE Seafood & Grill on South William Street received the regional Luxury Seafood Restaurant award, while Aqua Restaurant in Howth took home the continental Luxury Seafood plaudit.
FIRE Steakhouse & Bar on Dawson Street also won big, receiving the global award in the Luxury Steakhouse category.
The overall Global Restaurant of the Year title went to ESCA Cairo in Heliopolis, Egypt for their "simple yet fresh and unique Mediterranean and International cuisine with creative twists which have been tailored by several Cairo Celebrity Chefs".
The awards are now in their fifth year with winners chosen based on online votes.
Nominations are selected based on the restaurant's interior design, good quality haute cuisine, and service reviews.
