With appearances from Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles, the star-studded Grammys felt almost like a return to normal awards shows.

It meant there were plenty of red carpet outfits to ogle, many of which we actually want to wear ourselves…

With a yellow check jacket and purple feather boa, Styles’ look was straight out of 1995 movie Clueless. A feather boa is a genius way to add camp glamour to any look, something we’ll definitely be doing this summer.

Swift’s Oscar de la Renta minidress covered in floral applique suggests the popstar is very much ready for spring. It was cute and whimsical – but what we really respected was her dedication to matching her mask to her outfit. That’s a style tip we can all replicate at home, even if we’re not wearing designer garms.

Beyonce broke records by winning her 28th gong, making her the most awarded woman in Grammys history. She kept her look simple but cutting edge in a black leather minidress and matching gloves by Schiaparelli – topped off with soft waves in her hair and subtle, glowy make-up with shiny nude lips. It was a masterclass in soft glam – the kind of look that would suit almost any occasion.

Spring might be upon us, but that doesn’t mean you have to switch up your make-up to be brighter, more colourful and full of pastels. Instead, take inspiration from Bridgers, who showed how a dark lip can easily work in March – particularly when the rest of your beauty look is kept pared back and simple.

With Covid-related restrictions easing in the near future, many of us are understandably nervous about wearing real clothes and heading out into the world again. Not to worry – because you can take a leaf out of Cyrus’ book – she proved it’s acceptable to wear your bed sheets as a full outfit.

Or you could take inspiration from Chika, who indicated activewear really is here to stay, and that a full pastel Nike look is as appropriate for the red carpet as it is your living room.
