The annual Late Late Toy Show will begin accepting applications for performers and toy testers from today.

Ryan Tubridy made the announcement of RTÉ Radio One, saying the decision was taken to open the applications early as "children need it more than ever".

Any child interested in applying to be on the show is being asked to submit their audition tapes on the RTÉ website.
