A woman in her 50s remains in a serious condition in hospital after suffering head injuries during a violent carjacking in Dublin yesterday.

A woman in her 50s remains in a serious condition in hospital after suffering head injuries during a violent carjacking in Dublin yesterday.

She was driving into an apartment complex at Argyle House on Serpentine Avenue in Ballsbridge when she was set upon by two people.

Gardaí are now trying to track the grey Ford Focus (registration 03 D 55722) which was stolen.

It was last seen heading towards Merrion Road on the Southside of the city.

Gardaí are now searching for a man and woman in connection with the incident.
