A woman (20s) arrested on Friday in connection with the investigation of €91,000 herbal cannabis seized in Navan, Co Meath, has been charged.
She is due to appear at Trim District Court at a later date.
The Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, Meath Divisional Drugs Unit, and Revenue Customs Service seized approximately 4.55kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €91,000 in Navan on Friday.
The operation involved a number of residential properties in the Navan area.
Gardaí have said investigations are ongoing.
On Thursday, Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil continued to be at odds over the decriminalisation of cannabis.
The two parties are engaged in ongoing government formation talks, after policy approaches to drug use emerged as a flashpoint during the election.
Fianna Fáil’s election manifesto called for the decriminalisation of cannabis.
On Thursday, party leader Micheál Martin stressed that decriminalisation is not the same as legalisation.
