Witness Appeal After Pedestrian Injured In Collision Involving Bus In Dublin City Centre

An elderly man has been seriously injured following a collision involving a bus in Dublin city centre on Wednesday.

The male pedestrian, aged in his 80s, was injured at the junction of O'Connell Street and Abbey Street Lower at around midday on Wednesday.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to the Mater Hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

Gardaí said no other injuries were reported from the incident.

Investigating gardaí are urging anyone who was in the O'Connell Street/Abbey Street vicinity between 11.45am and 12.15pm on Wednesday to come forward, particularly those with camera (including dash-cam) footage.
