Minister Brendan Howlin has announced an end to the unvouched expenses system.

Minister Brendan Howlin has announced an end to the unvouched expenses system.

There will be a cut of 10% on expenditure limits, with a 50% cut in use of prepaid Oireachtas envelopes.

Howlin said there will be a 10% cut to Party Leaders Allowance and an audit of its use by independent members

There are also plans to abolish severance payment to Ministers.
